Apprenticeships now

Presently we are training students at our Győr and Kisújszállás plants in three trades: machine and CNC cutter, CNC programmer and production technology technician.

We have 32 students altogether as of 26th October, by which we reached the maximum number of students we can recruit. Replenishment is therefore guaranteed, and it is hoped that the knowledge will increase during the training so much so that the workforce will leave the school bench ready to take up the challenge.

The students are highly enthusiastic, and it is an honour to us receiving the task to turn them to good workers. All of them are valuable and nobly different.  I emphasise this so strongly because our plant makes the same demands: This is the kind of workers we need for these places.

Training is implemented according to a strict program at both plants. This is the only way to ensure that every student gets the education they need, for which they were recruited and for which they applied for a job with us. The programs are often influenced by the work spent at the workshop areas, however we can gain quite a lot if organized in a clever and process-oriented way.

It is a great achievement that the dual textbook of the company, providing an excellent summary of the curriculum for all three professional areas, has been returned into the hands of the students. We are also holding theoretical pre-week classes every Monday, where we work on the which weekly tasks, while also providing all kinds of professional insights.

We have prepared task collections for all our machine tools (about 120 different tasks), which guide students in a logical and targeted way from simple tasks to machining complex shapes. What's more, in what we call project-based training, we have designed some of the tasks so that students have to work together, or they have to work on each other's half-finished pieces one after the other. It is also common for a job to start in the warehouse and end in the measuring room, while the aluminium slab has been through two or three machine tools.

It is also a big improvement that, in addition to HURCO and Fehlmann CNC machines, the CNC simulator will allow students to learn about other CNC machines as well. It is also a pleasure to have a team of trainers in Győr who train students with expertise and dedication. Many thanks to Miklos Tibor and Tóth Botond for the tremendous work! The work is also greatly supported by the HR team, for which we are also grateful!

Another great achievement in Kisújszállás is that our colleague Kiss János is able to fully engage with the students during the school week. Sólyom Róbert, the site manager, has been providing significant help to him; thanks for both of them!

Our goal is to train students in Szombathely in a similarly well-functioning system from the next school year.
